Gun violence is on the rise across the nation and in Hampton Roads. On Monday, police chiefs from the Seven Cities came together expressing that the community needs to step up to help change this trend. “Well, I can tell you one of my most violent sectors in the city has 64 churches. 64 churches. What we re not doing: one, there s a lot of folks out here that want to help but don t know how to help. It s for us to show them what they can do to make a contribution to this, said Norfolk Police Chief Larry Boone.

Robert Ebersohn set for Cheetahs return

Robert Ebersohn set for Cheetahs return News24 Robert Ebersohn will be making his return to Cheetahs after he signed a two-year deal with the franchise. The 32-year old Ebersohn has been plying his trade in France. Ebersohn and his twin brother, Sias originally joined the Cheetahs straight out of high school in 2008. He went on to play more than 100 matches for the franchise before furthering his career in France in 2013, where he represented both Montpellier and Castres. Ebersohn also represented the Blitzboks between 2008 and 2011, winning 12 caps. Cheetahs head coach, Hawies Fourie, says he is delighted to have Ebersohn joining the team, especially after the retirement of William Small-Smith.
