Faustino Saucedo, of Perth Amboy, was on his way to Carteret to pick up his wife when he saw several cars stopped on the side of the Route 9 bridge over the Raritan River. He immediately pulled over when he saw a man barely hanging onto the side of the bridge. Shouts of “don t do it!” and no, no no! filled the air as bystanders rushed to the aid of the man who was leaning off the bridge, according to a video of the incident shot by a bystander.
