There have been a number of crimes taking place all over the country from incidents of piracy to home invasions. In Yemeri Grove, Toledo, William Haught was a victim of an armed invasion at his residence from where a number of items including a licensed firearm were stolen. It took place on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 when, as Haught explains, he was returning home from conducting business in Punta Gorda Town. He had left home at around 10:00 a.m., leaving his caretaker behind, and when he returned sometime after noon, he was accosted by three persons all of dark complexion. The men all wore masks and were armed and managed to bind both Haught and his caretaker. They demanded money and went on to ransack the home before making off with his licensed shotgun, which was inside his vehicle. The men left and after freeing himself, Haught made his way to his village’s chairperson who called the police.
