Detroit archdiocese to restore Sunday Mass obligation in March 02/21/2021 at 3:27 PM Posted by Kevin Edward White
Catholic News Agency, February 10, 2021
Most Catholics in the Archdiocese of Detroit will again be obliged to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation starting March 14.
Detroit, along with every U.S. diocese, suspended public liturgies last year in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Archbishop Allen Vigneron of Detroit dispensed all Catholics from their Sunday obligation March 13, 2020.
“In allowing the general dispensation to expire, we welcome back to Mass all Catholics who have already been engaged in other activities that would present a similar or greater risk of exposure, such as eating out at restaurants, traveling, partaking in non-essential shopping, and widening one’s circle of contacts,” Archbishop Vigneron wrote in a Feb. 9 letter.

Atlantic City Casino Tries To Pause Trade Secrets Suit
Law360 (February 8, 2021, 6:43 PM EST) Ocean Casino Resort has asked a New Jersey federal court to pause Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa s lawsuit claiming its Atlantic City rival lured away two marketing executives and trade secrets, saying the court should stay the case pending arbitrations between Borgata and its ex-employees.
A stay will promote judicial efficiency and economy because Borgata s arbitrations with former executives William Callahan and Kelly Ashman Burke will either simplify, answer or moot the hotel casino s issues with Ocean, the casino resort said Friday in its motion to stay, adding Borgata has already subpoenaed Ocean in the Burke arbitration.
