CCHD announces walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations with no advance scheduling needed

WILMINGTON – For the remainder of this week and for the week of May 24, the Clinton County Health District (CCHD) will be hosting the following Walk-In Clinics for COVID-19 (all vaccine brands available while supplies last):
Uhl’s Sabina Market, at 444 E. Washington St., Sabina
• Thursday, May 20 from 3-6 p.m. JK Precast will provide $25 Uhl’s gift cards to the first 100 individuals vaccinated at this event.
CCHD office, Entrance C, 111 S. Nelson Ave., Wilmington
• Thursday, May 20 noon-6 p.m.
• Monday, May 24 noon-4 p.m.
• Tuesday, May 25 noon-4 p.m.

OH Zone Virtual Career Fair set for Thursday

WILMINGTON Register for the Clinton, Fayette, Highland and Adams Counties OH Zone Virtual Career Fair, where virtual conversations lead to real opportunities.
The fair will be held noon-3 p.m. Thursday, May 6.
“The goal of any job fair is to connect job-seekers to an area’s leading employers,” said Jennifer Klus Ekey, Economic Development Director with the Clinton County Port Authority. “This event has the added benefit of flexibility, with individuals able to participate from any location, and the online platform is easy to use for even the least technically-minded person.”

WILMINGTON Local public health officials were notified this week that a second COVID-19 virus variant case in Clinton County has been verified.
The Clinton County Health District medical director, Dr. Terry Holten, reported that both of the variant cases in Clinton County were the B.1.1.7 variant, which is the variant that was first identified in the United Kingdom.
The virus variant from the UK, said Holten, is not more deadly, but it is more easily spread.

WILMINGTON – The Clinton County Health District (CCHD) is hosting three Walk-In Clinics for COVID-19 vaccinations (Pfizer brand) on the campus of Southern State Community College North Campus in Wilmington next week.
Priority will be given to those individual who register in advance at https://bookclintoncovidvax.timetap.com/#/ .
These clinics are:
• Tuesday, April 27 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
• Wednesday, April 28 2-4:30 p.m.
The CCHD will continue to accommodate those Clinton Countians who are not comfortable with online scheduling technology. Please call the office to schedule at (937) 382-3829 and follow the message prompts to extension 114. Leave a message and a representative from our office will call you back to schedule.
