A Democratic state representative from Missouri accused Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani of lying to overturn the presidential election in a hearing held by a state committee Dec. 14. The former New York City mayor responded by calling the lawmaker dangerous to democracy.
The exchange came during a House Special Committee on Government Oversight hearing on a resolution asking Congress to reject the electoral votes of six states won by President-elect Joe Biden if claims of fraud are not investigated.
Most of South County’s GOP delegation signed the letter from 66 lawmakers asking for an investigation: Rep. Jim Murphy, R-Oakville, who represents the 94th District; Rep. David Gregory, R-Sunset Hills, the 96th; and Rep. Mary Elizabeth Coleman, R-Arnold, the 97th.

COLUMBIA, Mo. A Missouri state lawmaker allegedly had sex with an intern and then threatened a staffer to keep quiet about it, according to a House Ethics Committee report released Wednesday.
The Ethics Committee gave Democratic St. Louis Rep. Wiley Price until Wednesday afternoon to resign over the alleged misconduct or face being formally denounced and stripped of much of his legislative power.

A Democratic state lawmaker from St. Louis facing censure by the Missouri House says he will not resign as legislative leaders begin imposing sanctions recommended by the House Ethics Committee.
State Rep. Wiley Price IV told The Missouri Independent Friday that he did not intend to give up his seat in the House after the committee found he had lied under oath and harassed an employee who reported that he told them he had sex with an intern.
In a text message to The Independent, Price said he would make further statements about the case “soon.”
