Sessions court acquits Gajanan Marne, gang

With the witnesses produced by the
prosecution not supporting its case and refusing to identify the accused,
evidence presented did not stand in court
The special sessions court has, on Monday, acquitted notorious gangster Gajanan
Marne and 22 of his aides in a 2014 murder case. This is a major setback for Pune police as this is the third prominent gang to be acquitted by the court in the past eight months.

Yerawada jail officials complained that NCP MLC has been throwing tantrums and threatening superintendent; accused, however, claims he needs home meal.
The sessions court warned
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Member of Legislative Council (MLC) and prime accused in the Shivajirao Bhosale Co-operative Bank scam Anil Bhosale to obey the jail authority and maintain discipline in the
Yerawada Central Prison.
The warning came after the jail authorities filed at least seven complaints against Bhosale and prayed for shifting Bhosale to any other prison. All these complaints were heard together by the sessions court.
