If It s Too Cold For You, It s Still Too Cold For Your Pets

The cold weather is finally starting to move on from the Panhandle and the rest of the Lone Star state. We have seen some really horrible pictures from across the state of our friends, family, and neighbors without water or power or both with no timetable on restoration other than as soon as we can safely do so. But what about pets? Often overlooked, our companions give us unconditional love and affection and ask for very little in return. AAM&W panel advances breeders ordinance

The Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare Advisory Board has advanced the proposed breeders ordinance to be presented to the Amarillo City Council for approval.  The thing we wanted to add, that we all talked about, was an annual fee of $100, which is what the board asked for, Animal Management and Welfare Department interim director Rob Sherwin said during the panel s session earlier this month.  We also added the applicant shall not have received any more than three violations of this chapter in the preceding two years. People we issue citations to get three citations at a time  three violations, he continued.  That would obviously blanket that issue, as far as if they receive a lot of citations, they have that history, they do not need to get a breeders permit. The AMOs go out into the field and answer those calls  they re generally writing no vaccine, no tag and then dog at-large. Those three citations all get written together exclusively.
