New York City men charged in Capitol riot due in court, Man arrested in New Jersey

Two men from New York City were due in court Wednesday, one accused of threatening to send an armed caravan to the Capitol and the other who allegedly participated in the riot.

Correspondent David Spunt has the latest from Washington on Special Report FBI agents arrested a New York City man Tuesday evening, searching his home after the convicted felon allegedly made online threats about traveling to Washington, D.C., to carry out further violence in the days after rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol building during the official certification of Electoral College votes a week ago. The suspect, identified as Eduard Florea, was arrested at his home in Middle Village, Queens, and is expected to appear virtually in federal court in Brooklyn at 2 p.m. Wednesday, a law enforcement source confirmed to Fox News.

Aaron Mostofsky, son of Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge Shlomo Mostofsky, arrested in Capitol riot

Pierre Thomas has more on a warning from the FBI about possible armed protests planned in all 50 states over the next 10 days. He was photographed inside the Capitol last Wednesday in fur pelts and a bullet-resistant vest emblazoned with the word Police. Mostofsky gave an interview to the NY Post in which he said he stormed the Capitol because he believed the election had been stolen from President Donald Trump. He also gave his first name and said he traveled from Brooklyn. He was not wearing a mask. A search warrant was being executed at his home Tuesday as federal law enforcement searches for possible connectivity between Mostofsky and any greater plot.
