We try the Singapore Airlines Feast Box - airline food at home

Tried and tasted: best recipe boxes and fresh food deliveries

But for people who think of themselves as fairly imaginative chefs, the whole thing can seem a bit mysterious. Why would you want pre-portioned ingredients when you could buy more from the supermarket for less? Why would you pay to have a sachet of oregano sent to you when you could buy a whole jar in the supermarket? Only through having tried out Mindful Chef does the benefit become obvious. Namely that even if you are a confident cook, recipe boxes such as these can push you outside your comfort zone and get you to try something new.  Such was the case with the excellent Mexican-style bavette steak with avocado salsa we ordered. Not a complex thing to cook, but unfamiliar and delicious. Similarly, the harissa-roasted aubergine with garlic and chilli chicken was lovely and not a recipe we had tried before.

British Airways in-flight meals for first-class passengers are now available to cook and eat at home

The airline’s in-flight meals for first-class passengers are now available to cook and eat at home Let’s get this straight, it’s plane food but without the plane? That’s about the size of it. According to British Airways, customers can ‘recreate the magic of flying’ by cooking some of the dishes served on their fleet at 38,000 ft in the comfort of their own home. I though the magic of flying was that it took you to holiday destinations quickly? Where’s your sense of romance? Life’s a journey, not a destination, after all. And these aren’t just any in-flight meals anyway, but those served to passengers lucky enough to have a first-class cabin ticket.

British Airways create airline meal boxes for home delivery

A PARTNERSHIP between British Airways, and caterers means travellers who miss the delights of airline food during lockdown can now get it delivered. The airline has teamed up with DO&CO, and Feast Box, to create a limited-edition cook-at-home meal kit that mirrors the first class cabin dining experience. The meals include a four-course menu and customers can choose vegetarian, fish and meat dishes in their kit.  They will receive the full ingredients. Each meal kit costs from £80 and serves two people.  For more details for what s on offer: feastbox.co.uk/collections/british-airways
