A concert to create a deeper understanding of the Vietnam War through music June 2021 marks 50 years since Australia’s withdrawal from the conflict in South Vietnam, the Vietnam Requiem is a commemorative work that will focus on veterans and those directly affected by a war, including military and civilian medical staff, entertainers, journalists and photojournalists, the protest movement and those who fled to freedom as Boat People. Created and directed by Chris Latham, Artist-in-Residence at the Australian War Memorial, Vietnam Requiem brings together Australia’s leading composers and performers to create an unforgettable theatrical experience.   The Australian War Memorial is proud to support the Vietnam Requiem.
