MELBOURNE, April 17 (Reuters) - A two-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital with bites to his head and body after a dingo attacked him on a popular Australian holiday island early on Saturday, rescue services said. It s believed the child, who was holidaying with his family, had been playing outside a house, when neighbors heard a commotion, RACQ LifeFlight Rescue said in a statement. They reportedly went to investigate and saw a dingo attacking the toddler.
The boy, accompanied by his mother, was flown to a hospital from Fraser Island off the eastern coast and is in stable condition.

A man has been flown to hospital with multiple injuries after crashing his motorbike into a cow west of Monto.
It s believed he was trail bike riding on a dirt road when a herd of cattle ran across in front of him.
The chopper was tasked to the scene just before 4pm this afternoon (Thursday 15 April).
The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic worked with other QAS paramedics to treat the man, aged in his 60s, before he was loaded into the helicopter. “My friend was on the phone to the ambulance and I was trying to calm the girl down and keep an eye on the boys’ breathing as they were bleeding,” Ms Spillane said.
“The passenger had blood coming from his head and the driver had blood coming from his head as well.
“It was pretty full-on.”
Ms Spillane said the passenger-side of the vehicle was “smashed up pretty badly”.
“(The passenger) was pretty much leaning on the driver, while both unconscious,” she said.
A Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter flew the teenage passenger to hospital.
