The airport will get a portion of $65 million in the
Airport Relief Fund, a new program set up to offer financial relief to help Canadian airports keep going.
Interim president and CEO Greg Hierlihy said he expects YSJ will get about $1 million.
“For last year and this year, our operating cash flow is in the magnitude of negative $3.6 million. It’s certainly a welcome amount of money. We have suffered significant losses over the last year,” Hierlihy said.
