A man was found dead on the side of a Connecticut roadway after crashing his vehicle.
The man, described as being in his 50s and a Torrington resident, was found around 8 p.m., Sunday, June 27 when Torrington Police received a 911 call regarding a crash on Winsted Road.
When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a motorcycle on its side in the center of the road.
The driver was found dead just south of the motorcycle s location on the side of the road, Torrington Police said.
Another motorist that was behind the motorcycle came upon the crash and called 911.

TORRINGTON, Conn. A fatal motorcycle accident has Winsted Road in Torrington closed in both directions.
Police say that they are on scene investigating. The fire department is also on scene.
This is a developing story.
