A message circulating on social media informing the public that today they can get their second COVID-19 vaccine at the Winston Scott Polyclinic is incorrect.
Coordinator of the National Vaccination Programme, Major David Clarke told Nation Online it was not an open invitation to the public, but rather a redirection of people at the Masonic Lodge in Salters, St George, from one location to another.
The public is once again reminded to wait until they have received a call, email or text message confirming their second appointment, before turning up to a vaccination site. (RA)

Patients at Winston Scott Polyclinic were left dissatisfied over the length of time they had to wait to access medication and to see the doctors on Monday.
Patients were waiting under the tent stationed outside the Ladymeade Gardens, Jemmotts Lane, St Michael health facility, with some complaining about the remnants of ash still circulating from the eruption of the La Soufriere volcano in St Vincent.
Some people said they had been waiting since 10 a.m. and after midday had not been able to access any type of medical service.
When contacted, head of the Barbados Drug Service, Maryam Hinds, said the matter had been brought to her attention, but she was unaware of the specifics and would have to investigate.
