GREENSBORO, N.C. Free tickets, discounts and even gift cards those are just some of the incentives COVID-19 vaccine providers are offering for people to get their shots.
Fans at Tuesday s Winston-Salem Dash game will get a discount ticket if they get their vaccine at a pop up clinic in the stadium.
The clinic is run by Forsyth County Department of Public Health and it s the county s second pop up event that offers rewards for getting the vaccine.
At a live performance, joyous laughter and unexpected tears unite an audience across all racial, cultural and gender divisions among the audience members, Henderson said. Â
The UNCSA graduates should accept their roles as alchemists of empathy, sorcerers of empathy and magicians of empathy, Henderson said. Live performances are empathy clinics.
You are the essential workers whose workplaces have been closed for a dangerous length of time,  he said. Our country needs your services.  Â
Henderson also spoke about his experiences as a UNCSA student and some of his achievements as a renowned character actor in plays, television shows and films.
In April 2014, Henderson was part of the cast in the Broadway play, A Raisin in the Sun, that was being performed at a New York theater.

Hickory Crawdads Pick Up First Home Win of Season

The Hickory Crawdads defeated the Winston-Salem Dash 3-1 on Wednesday evening, holding their opponent to just 3 hits.
The Crawdads took the lead in the third inning with Miguel Aparicio’s first homerun of the season. Jonathan Ornelas kept the momentum going with a double and came around to score on a single by Frainyer Chavez. Chavez came around to score on a single by Jake Guenther to give the ‘Dads a 3-0 advantage.
About 1,300 people attended both ceremonies, and more than 3,600 Forsyth Tech students from both classes graduated, the college said in a statement.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the college didnât conduct an in-person commencement for its 2020 graduates last year, Forsyth Tech said.
There was no traditional procession of the graduates walking to their seats inside the stadium because of safety precautions, President Janet Spriggs of Forsyth Tech told 300 graduates at the commencementâs Wednesday afternoon event.
A group of 170 graduates received their degrees, diplomas and certificates during the commencementâs Wednesday morning event, said Devin Purgason, a Forsyth Tech spokesman.
Spriggs asked the graduates at both events to stand while the song, âPomp and Circumstance,â was played over the stadiumâs public address system. The crowd consisting of the graduatesâ family members and friends applauded as the graduates stood.
