MP hails vaccination at areas under EMCO | Daily Express Online - Sabah s Leading News Portal

Member of Parliament for Sandakan, Vivian Wong welcomed the District Health Department’s latest move to commence vaccination drive at locations that are currently under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) here in the effort to mitigate the risk exposure faced by  residents in these areas.  She first raised the issue of vaccination for residents at EMCO areas on July 28 during the parliamentary debate on the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, urging the government to embark on a vaccination drive for residents at EMCO areas to prevent a perpetual cycle of lockdowns without a real solution.  According to the district health department, vaccination drive has started this week at two EMCO locations in Sandakan, namely Taman Murni, LPPB flat at Sri Taman and Taman Harmoni

BELURAN: A 50-year-old driver was killed after he lost control of his Nissan Frontier which overturned several times along Jalan Paitan, early Friday. Beluran District Police Chief Supt. Kasim Muda said Mohd Syed Shahrin was believed to be heading towards Beluran from Paitan when the tragedy occurred at 4am. “He is believed to have lost control while entering a curvy stretch, causing the four-wheel-drive to overturn several times before coming to a stop. ADVERTISEMENT “The victim suffered injuries all over his body and head, and died on the spot,” he said, adding the victim s body was sent to Beluran Hospital for autopsy.
