INDIANAPOLIS Ascension St. Vincent is investing $325 million in the campus at 86th Street in Indianapolis.
The expansion will include:
New Brain and Spine Hospital
New parking garage and additional surface parking
The women s hospital will be relocated from Township Line Road to the 86th Street campus. It will include 109 new, private neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) rooms. Putting everything under one roof is done with the goal of reducing maternal and infant mortalities in Indiana by including care for critically ill mothers and infants. The hospital will be connected to the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital.

INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) Ascension St. Vincent has unveiled plans for a major expansion of its main campus on the northwest side of Indianapolis. The health system says it will invest $325 million in the project, which includes relocating the Ascension St. Vincent Women’s Hospital to the campus, as well as building a new Brain and Spine Hospital and a new parking garage.
The relocation of the women’s hospital will include 268,000 square feet of new space featuring 109 additional private neonatal intensive care unit rooms. It will be connected to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, bringing all related departments together, including NICU, mother/baby care and high-risk OB.

Ascension St. Vincent officials announced plans on Monday for a $325 million expansion on the 86th Street campus that will include an updated women’s hospital, and a new neurosurgical hospital, positioning the hospital to become a destination for patients from across the Midwest.
The project will include a larger neonatal intensive care unit. Carmel-based Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine will partner on the hospital that showcases its specialty.
With the additions, the north-side facility will seek to become a regional quaternary care center, which will provide specialty complex care to patients from around the state as well as the region, said Jonathan Nalli, chief executive officer of Ascension St. Vincent Indiana and ministry market executive for Ascension.
