OVID TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A 76-year-old Coldwater man who was trapped in his vehicle after crashing in Ovid Township on Thursday night was flown to Borgess Hospital after suffering a severe laceration to the head.
The injury was said to be non-life threatening.
The Michigan State Police say the crash happened on Quimby Road near Tallahasee Road at about 9:30 p.m. when the southbound vehicle did not turn for the curve in the road.
It then went off the road and went into a ditch before it turning onto its side and striking multiple trees.

The L452R variant of COVID-19 being identified by viral genomic sequencing in San Francisco, Monterey and Santa Clara counties has been linked to the outbreak at Kaiser Permanente s San Jose Medical Center that led to several dozen infections and possibly one death, as well as other large outbreaks in Santa Clara County.
