About the 2021 Closets Conference & Expo and Wood Pro Expo Florida
The Closets Conference & Expo is the annual national event for closet and home storage professionals. It is co-located with Wood Pro Expo Florida (WPE), a regional marketplace for woodworking professionals. The events are organized by Closets & Organized Storage and FDMC magazines respectively, each part of Woodworking Network. The twin-billing event is scheduled for June 8-10, 2021, at the Palm Beach Convention Center in Palm Beach, Fla.
The Closets Expo and WPE both lead off with a separate full-day conference on June 8, followed by the two-day expo, June 9-10, featuring woodworking machinery and supplies. Additional educational programming is offered on both days of the expo. Tours of local manufacturing plants and the popular Top Shelf Design Awards networking reception are also key components of the event.

Natuzzi China is one of 28 Chinese furniture makers subject to provisional duties imposed May 5 by the Canada Border Services Agency.
OTTAWA, Ontario – Canada has started collecting provisional duties on upholstered seating products manufactured in China and Vietnam of up to 295.9% and 101.5% respectively following an investigation into unfair pricing by the Canada Border Services Agency (CSBA).
The CSBA’s probe was triggered by a complaint filed by Palliser Furniture Ltd. of Winnipeg, Manitoba, alleging it has been negatively impacted due to an increased volume of dumped and subsidized imports from the two nations. More specifically, Palliser asserted that it has suffered material injury in the form of lost market share, lost sales, price undercutting, price depression, declining financial performance, and reduced capacity utilization.

SFI s sustainable urban forest standard would likely include urban wood utilization.
OTTAWA and WASHINGTON The Sustainable Forestry Initiative Inc. (SFI) announced a partnership with five urban forestry groups to develop an SFI Urban and Community Forest Sustainability Standard.
SFI will work with American Forests, Arbor Day Foundation, the International Society of Arboriculture, the Society of Municipal Arborists, and Tree Canada. The new standard would be developed for North America and potentially globally. It would establish criteria for urban forest sustainability, likeily including urban wood utilization.

Inscape plans to use an unspecified portion of its new $15 million loan to purchase capital equipment.
HOLLAND LANDING, Ontario – Inscape Corp., a manufacturer of office furniture, entered into a new $15 million senior credit facility with FrontWell Capital Partners Inc. to repay existing indebtedness, finance new capital equipment, and for general working capital purposes.
The larger loan replaces Inscape’s existing senior credit facility also with FrontWell. Under the terms of the credit facility, FrontWell would be first in line for proceeds of the sale of Inscape’s collateral assets in the event the company defaulted on the loan.
