BCP Council reveal plans for £4 5m Covid-19 recovery fund

A COMPREHENSIVE package of funding, totalling £4.5m, will be used to support economic recovery and help businesses across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole bounce back from Covid-19 pandemic. The funding will target businesses who have suffered a significant reduction in income but, as of yet, have not received any grant support. The first of which is a £750,000 Exceptional Circumstances Fund which was launched this week. Deputy Leader of BCP Council and Portfolio Holder for Economy and Regeneration Councillor Philip Broadhead said: “Following the most immediate streams of targeted business support issued at the start of the year, we promised to deliver a long-term package of financial support for local businesses and the community as a whole, so we are now pleased to be providing grants to businesses who have missed out on previous schemes.

Financial support available for Herefordshire companies affected by the lockdown

Financial support available for Herefordshire companies affected by the lockdown HUNDREDS of businesses across Herefordshire that have been affected by the current national Covid-19 lockdown restrictions could benefit from a new discretionary grant support. The grants are available for businesses and registered charities within Herefordshire that do not have a business rate assessment and that have been mandated to close during the latest national lockdown, or have lost at least 50% of business turnover for January 2021 as a result of the restrictions. The Discretionary Grant Fund 3 and Exceptional Circumstances Fund 2, managed by Herefordshire Council, are for businesses impacted by the latest Covid-19 restrictions introduced from 5 January 2021, but not eligible for the Local Restrictions Support Grant.
