£8million Windsor Court care home in Malvern finally opens its doors

Windsor Court officially opened for the first time this week after months of renovation work. Brought to the town by the Maria Mallaband Care Group, the home includes 51 en-suite rooms with facilities including a bistro and bar, hair salon and an eight seat cinema, all of which are open to the community depending on Covid restrictions. Zoe Miller, care home manager, said: This is the moment we have been waiting for and we are delighted that we can finally start showing people around our beautiful new home. The feedback has been so positive, with many commenting on the great location, the positive atmosphere, and the tranquil setting.

Plans revealed for new micropub in Malvern

A NEW micropub could soon be opening in Malvern as part of new plans. The micropub would open in the town’s Church Street taking over the building left empty by Mountain Warehouse when the store closed and relocated in November last year. The shop has since been used a showroom by the people behind nearby luxury care home Windsor Court who are due to leave next month. The proposed opening times are 10am to midnight every day. A total of eight jobs will be created if the plans are backed by Malvern Hills District Council. The micropub will be run by Dean Cartwright who has previously founded Black Country based brewery Pig Iron Brewing Company and owned award-winning pub Weavers Real Ale House in Kidderminster.
