Bedford High Schoolâs mock trial team came home with a win and a loss in district competition, falling just short of the chance to advance to this weekâs playoffs.
The team won the first trial against Windber Area High School, but lost the second, against Altoona Area High School.
The team would have won, but lost due to a time penalty, according to teacher coach Laura Scheeler.
This year, due to the pandemic, the Mock Trial competition, hosted by the Pennsylvania Bar Association, turned to a virtual format.
âI was very curious about it when I heard the competition would be virtual, but luckily our district already uses Zoom,â said Scheeler.
