When Toronto patios reopen on Friday, it will mark the end of the cityâs latest months-long stretch without the option to celebrate with friends or go on an awkward Tinder date under an umbrella or the open sky.
The cityâs restaurants will have endured 381 days of indoor and outdoor dining bans, with patios closed for 286 days since the pandemic first shut down Ontario last year.
