Since joining Pilgrim’s Pride two years ago, Chater has been promoted to interim technical service manager to help cover maternity leave. While her initial plan was always to pursue a new product development role, she has since become aware of the range of opportunities within the food and drink industry.

Amelia Cockran, Coca-Cola European Partners’s (CCEP’s) mechanical and electrical engineering apprentice and finalist for the FMEA’s Apprentice of the Year Award hopeful discussed the challenges social distancing has created.
“Everything is now virtual via Zoom and Teams and FaceTime – that’s been a big challenge to get used to that,” she explained.
“For someone who’s always had a face-to-face education and being in school to suddenly be thrown in the deep end and expected to deliver top grades and the work.

Poland has more companies in the top ‘100 Web Design Agencies’ rankings than any other EU country, according to a new ranking.
Compiled by industry leader magazine The Manifest, the rankings based on client feedback and projects the agency realised saw Poland’s top ranked company Adchitects come in at 14th worldwide.
Top of the list in 14th place was Poznań’s Adchitects which The Manifest described as being “very transparent about project scope and timelines. They have good service and communication skills, and the team is always very polite and friendly. They care about their customers.”The Manifest
Krystal Jenkins from UCB is a Dawn Student Ambassador 2021
Dawn Foods has appointed its student ambassadors for 2021 as part of an ongoing partnership with University College Birmingham (UCB).
Krystal Jenkins and Jonah Street are both second year students on UCB’s Bakery and Patisserie Technology undergraduate degree course.
Jenkins has a passion for experimenting with flavours and textures, which inspired her to undertake a bakery course at university.
“I’ve always had a sweet tooth when it comes to things like cakes and desserts and thanks to my sister, who taught me how to make these myself, I was able to go on an experiment with different flavours and textures to create cakes and desserts for friends and family,” said Jenkins.

“In terms of the business end of things, production has gone up and thus the workload has gone up,” he explained. “
We recently refitted robots with a newer system that allows for double the amount of product through and it’s maxed out already.”
