Mayors and a few senior leaders of Delhi s three BJP-led municipal corporations on Thursday went on an indefinite hunger strike outside the Chief Minister s residence, to demand release of funds due to the civic bodies . The dharna by the municipal leaders seeking release of funds entered its eleventh day as they refused to budge.

New Delhi: West Bengal Minister Subrata Mukherjee made an astonishing claim saying the BJP may conspire to assassinate Mamata Banerjee by sending people secretly if it doesn’t win in the upcoming polls.
West Bengal s Panchayat and Rural Development Minister gave this statement while addressing a rally in the state.
“If BJP doesn t win by fighting the election against Mamata Banerjee, they may conspire to assassinate her by sending people secretly,” he said.
West Bengal is witnessing a growing chaos, senior leader Vijay Goel claimed, adding that hundreds of BJP workers have been attacked in the state with 14 of them killed in the last nine months.

Voters were left puzzled when they found their left ring finger being daubed with indelible ink instead of the index finger during the MCD polls in the city.
Singer Shubha Mudgal was among those who expressed surprise at the move.“Don’t remember this finger being inked earlier but that’s how it was done today in MCD Election 2017,” she tweeted yesterday.
