Man found dead from gunshot wound Christopher Walker Wichita Falls Police are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a man from a gunshot wound Thursday afternoon. Sgt. Brian Sheehan said officers were sent to check on the welfare of a person at Avalon Meadows Apartments in the 2600 block of Iowa Park shortly before 5 p.m. and found a body in an apartment. Sheehan identified the dead man as Johnny Perez, 22.  He did not provide details on the shooting but said it will be investigated as a homicide. We ll investigate it as a murder until we prove it s not a murder, the detective said.
