Summer concert series celebrates anniversary

The Kansan James Jones remembers the first-ever summer summer concert of the Newton Mid-Kansas Symphony Orchestra at the time it was part of a festival, called the Harvey Festival. I got the idea from the railroad restaurant and the name of the county and the Judy Garland Movie [The Harvey Girls, 1946], Jones said. It was started by Jones and Don Kerhberg, former music professor at Bethel College as something fun to do in the summer. Botanica & Wichita Symphony Orchestra Announce Concert at New Amphitheater in May The Wichita Symphony Orchestra and Botanica announced their outdoor concert experience “Symphony in the Gardens,” which will debut at Wichita’s newest amphitheater, The Grand Lawn. The concert will be held at the amphitheater on Friday, May 14th, and tickets are now on sale. The Grand Lawn can host 1,000 people with social distancing. The two black men are accused of a weeklong crime spree that culminated in the quadruple homicide of four young whites in a snowy soccer field in Wichita, Kansas. Prosecutors will seek the death penalty. The only survivor of the massacre is a woman whose identity has been protected, and who is known as H.G.
