Man Arrested Following Chase with Police in Southeast Wichita A man was arrested after a chase in southeast Wichita Saturday night. The Wichita Police Department said an officer tried to stop a vehicle near Mt. Vernon and Emporia. The driver of the vehicle then continued to drive north on Emporia then east on Harry to Hydraulic before drifting into the oncoming lanes of traffic. The suspect then hit a van and suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. A 40 year old woman who was a passenger in the car also suffered minor injuries. The 31-year-old suspect was arrested on multiple charges, including three counts of aggravated battery.
