One of Ghana’s finest musicians, Shatta Wale who is known in real life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah has dismissed his longtime manager, Bullgod formerly Bulldog from his Shatta Movement Camp.
Bulldog’s dismissal came weeks after he was detained by operatives of the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service for allegedly threatening the life of President Akufo-Addo on live television show.
Bulldog whose real name is Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson has since been replaced by one Mr Nana Kojo Owusu Koranteng who is less known in the entertainment industry.
First Deputy Speaker and Member of Parliament for Bekwai, Joseph Osei-Owusu
The Bono East Regional Youth Wing of the opposition National Democratic Congress has petitioned the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, to expel the First Deputy Speaker and Member of Parliament for Bekwai, Joseph Osei-Owusu, from the lawmaking house.
The call by the opposition party membership comes at the back of a recent statement made by the MP.
“During the last State of the Nation’s Address of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on January 5, 2021, he refused to acknowledge the wicked shooting of thirteen (13) unarmed citizens of Techiman South Constituency by armed security men leading to the death of three (3). Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu was questioned why the President did not say anything about the deaths of Ghanaians recorded at Techiman and other places. Act professionally when handling suspects in Prof. Benneh’s murder case – Court tells Police
A Magistrate has admonished Police investigators and prosecutors to be more professional when handling suspects.
Ms. Ama Adomako Kwakye, the Kaneshie District Court Magistrate, noted that if the Police had acted appropriately, they would have saved the taxpayers the cost of a skin grafting surgery on Opambour Agya Badu Nkansah, the second murder suspect in Professor Emmanuel Yaw Benneh’ case.
The Magistrate noted that the state is going to bear the cost of Nkansah’s surgery.
The Magistrate gave this caution after the Ghana Police Service produced in court a comprehensive medical report of the second suspect in the murder of Professor Emmanuel Yaw Benneh.
