GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Some high school seniors in Green Bay could be one step closer to walking across the stage at graduation.
This week the Green Bay school board voted to lower graduation requirements to the state-mandated level.
“The state has high graduation standards. Ours were just higher, but what this does is this gives students some flexibility if they’re carrying a full load as a senior and if they’re struggling with it, we want to make sure to give them space to make a decision that’s right for them and still get to the graduation stage this Spring,” Green Bay schools superintendent Stephen Murley said.
