WINDERMERE S Shepherds boating sales company has announced it will be continuing its popular charter service. The boat sales company is expected to return to the water in June and continue its charter service on Windermere which has been in operation since 2015. CRUISE: Shepherds - Charter Services & Boat Sales, announces charter service will return The company has also partnered with a long established charter service based in Mallorca who offer will three news boats; two Princess motor cruisers, and an Oyster sailing yacht. Managing Director Darren Grundy said: Our charter business was in effect put on hold in 2020 and we’ve had to drastically change the format of the service due to Covid. So we’re delighted to announce we’ll now be operating a stunning classic open day boat – a 1972 Colombo Super Indios 18.
A development which will bring 25 new homes to Windermere is making strong progress. Caddick Construction said the structure of the new buildings at Windermere Marina Village was now complete and the properties will be finished later this year. Derek Billows, from Caddick Construction, said: “We are making great progress on site and will complete this luxury development towards the end of this year. With many of the properties already sold off plan, it will bring a welcome boost to the local economy.” Jason Dearden, managing director of Windermere Marina Ltd, said the homes would add to the area’s appeal.
