Tyler Kerr, the University of Wyoming makerspace coordinator in the Innovation Wyrkshop, recently was named UW staff employee of the year.
Because of COVID-19 concerns, this year’s in-person Staff Recognition Day was canceled. The annual event honors the hard-working staff of UW. It provides an opportunity to show all staff members how much they are appreciated for everything they do to keep the main UW campus, and throughout the state, functioning and providing a top-notch educational experience to thousands of students.

A pilot meal swipe sharing program is available this semester for University of Wyoming students experiencing food insecurity. Meals will be available at Washakie Dining Center.
The UW Food Security Taskforce and the Sustainability Coalition are collaborating on the pilot program, which is made possible by the support of the Associated Students of UW’s Special Projects. Hot, fresh and nutritious meals will be offered to UW students. The new program helps support the ongoing efforts to reduce food insecurity at UW.
Once a student is approved for the program, shared meal swipes are loaded directly onto the student’s WyoOne ID card. Swipes are dispersed on a rolling basis throughout the academic year. Students are free to use swipes as needed, and they can apply for the program more than once.
