Students discuss tuition hike before UC Board of Regents vote July 22 Sunny Shen/File The UC Board of Regents meeting July 22 will discuss nonresident supplemental tuition, among other issues. Some argue that this proposal will decrease diversity, inclusivity and equity. A proposal to increase tuition, the Student Services Fee and nonresident supplemental tuition will be discussed at the UC Board of Regents’ next meeting July 22. For the cohort of students enrolling in the 2022-23 academic year, the increase will take into account inflation and a 2% increase from the tuition of the prior class. Additions to tuition over inflation will continue and gradually decrease over time until tuition for classes entering 2026 and later will only adjust for the rate of inflation.
