HUNTSVILLE, Ala. Oakwood University Church will head back on the road to deliver bottled water to those in need, this time in Jackson, Mississippi. The volunteers will be leaving early Monday.
The state s largest city has been without water for weeks due to the winter storms.
The church along with the Drug Alternative Program and Breath of Life Television Ministries have at least two trucks loaded with cases of water that was collected from the community.
Leaders say giving back goes beyond the four walls of their church.

Lee University students, faculty, and staff will come together for a time of spiritual reflection during this semester’s Convocation. The six services will span four days, beginning on Sunday with Lee President Dr. Mark L. Walker, and concluding on Thursday.
“Convocation this year will focus on resilience,” said Lee University Campus Pastor Rob Fultz. “We chose to go with this theme because we are both inspired and challenged by the response of students to so many issues facing our communities. We believe perhaps more than any other time in recent history we are being called to live out our faith with integrity, passion, conviction, commitment, and consistency. To do that, we must learn the art and discipline of spiritual resiliency.”
