On the other side: countries, cities, hotels, airlines and cruise lines, hoping to fit themselves into postpandemic travel plans or trying to entice us to make reservations and book now. Open a newspaper and read that Florida has nearly 20,000 new cases. Turn the page, and there’s an ad offering “a warm winter welcome” at the Breakers resort in Palm Beach, asking us to “take comfort in knowing that the highest standards of comprehensive health and safety precautions are in place to protect our team, guests and community.” Which message is more enticing, or less scary?

“It could take us down”: Flight for Life helicopters targeted by lasers in Pueblo
PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) Flight for Life Colorado reports that someone is pointing lasers at their helicopters at night, committing a crime that could have deadly consequences. We ve seen probably. double the amount of strikes this last year with our helicopter with Lifeguard for this last year, and I don t know if it s out of boredom. I don t know, Flight for Life Registered Nurse Beverly Taylor said.
Laser strikes can cause vision damage to in-flight crews. That can lead to delayed patient care, and potentially cause a crash.

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. The Boulder County Sheriff s Office (BCSO) said they located the dog of missing Boulder hiker, Josh Hall, who went for a hike with his dog near Nederland on Feb. 3 and didn t return, according to the BCSO.
The dog, named Happy, was found Thursday along the Peak to Peak Highway between mile markers 40 and 41.
Hall, 27, was reported missing on Wednesday evening, after he went on a hike from the Hessie Trailhead, where his vehicle was later found.
Rescue crews are still involved in a ground search for the Arvada man after deciding on Monday to suspend the effort on the ground because of heavy winter conditions. Crews said they will continue to search either when new information surfaces or until the snow melts.
