Art exhibition questions the concept of identity and nationhood
published : 31 May 2021 at 04:30 A graphite, acrylic and ink on paper by Ha Ninh Pham. JWD Art Space National Belonging is the central theme of A Life Beyond Boundaries (The Geography of Belonging) , which will kick off at JWD Art Space tomorrow and run until Sept 30.
This is a large exhibition where artists from different generations have chosen to discuss the theme in the context of Southeast Asia through visual art from their own perspective based on their personal observations of the meaning of nationality as an individual or as a community.

As the month of June arrives in Bangkok it brings with it the hope that things are (fingers crossed) slowly returning to normal. This is especially good news for gallery goers who haven’t had much to lift their spirits during the recent lockdown period.

The month of May, in 2021, will be remembered, in part, for its strict lockdown regulations, all part of Thailand’s ongoing attempt to deal with the Covid-19 global pandemic fallout.
