The Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra trained Sword Of Mercy has emerged as a live chance in next months Group One Oakleigh Plate after an impressive win at Caulfield on Saturday.
Sword Of Mercy took twelve starts to break her maiden but has since won five of her last eight starts including two impressive metropolitan wins which has prompted her trainers to look at the Group One Oakeligh Plate next month as a target race.
“I thought it was a pretty good win,” Simon Zahra told RSN on Sunday morning.

Jamie Kah has made an amazing start to the New Year making it two city trebles
Kah followed her Flemington treble on January 1 with another one at Caulfield on Saturday.
Kah said her parents had come across from South Australia to watch her ride both days and said they were her lucky charm.
Kah was successful in the fourth race on Evening Glory before winning the final two races on Sword Of Mercy and then Heavenly Emperor.
Since December 27, Kah has won nine races from 16 rides.

Flemington Track: On overall times, It has raced like a Good4 throughout the afternoon. Once again, the track played brilliantly with no bias, every horse getting their chance. The track staff at ‘Headquarters’ should be applauded. It’s racing super at the moment.
