“OPP investigation, thus far, has determined (a sports utility vehicle) was travelling east on Concession 17 when it was struck by a tanker truck that was travelling south on Indian Line,” Const. Rod Leclair of the Haldimand OPP said in a news release Tuesday. “The collision had caused the SUV to roll over, trapping the occupants inside. The tanker then collided into the ditch.”
Police report the man driving the SUV was seriously injured. A female passenger in the SUV was also hurt but is expected to recover. Both were extricated from their vehicle by Haldimand firefighters.
