Carmel Arts Council is bringing back the “Art in the Garden” event for its second year as a part of the city’s “Meet Me on Main” celebration. Starting April 10, people will have the chance to check out and support local artists while the kids can participate and learn from the pros.
Event co-chair Barb Hammer talked about what it means to have “Art in the Garden” return after going through a year of virtual events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sculptor Scott Osborne also gave a preview of what people can expect from his showcase. Watch the interview for more.

Flagler Palm Coast got the new season off to a fast start Dec. 5 winning the 10-team Kenny Pfeifer Invitational at Sebastian River with four weight class champions among more than a dozen place winners.
Kyle Peacock (152), Tim King (160), Marcelo Gonzalez (182) and Garrick Schwartz (195) all sported 5-0 records in the round robin format tournament, with Peacock pinning all five of his opponents for 35 team points. King and Schwartz were both had four pins and the unique situation of defeating a teammate in the finals. The Bulldogs had two entrants in three weight classes.
Taking second place in their weight classes were Kole Hannatt (113), Brendan Buckles (138), Felipe Costa (160) and Dalton Schell (195) with 4-1 records, and third place ribbons went to Alex Castanheira (106), John Hald (126) and Bryce Dodge (170), also with 4-1 records.
