A Memphis police officer was charged with two counts of vehicular homicide after police say he crashed his 2019 Dodge Charger into a Pontiac Bonneville, killing 19-year-old Travis Parham and 42-year-old Wallace Morris.
On Sunday, according to the police narrative, off-duty officer Antonio Marshall was traveling at high rates of speed eastbound on Walnut Grove Road. Witnesses described Marshall s driving as reckless with no regard for the safety of others.
As Marshall was speeding down Walnut Grove Road, police said a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville had come to a complete stop at a gas station near Timber Creek Drive as they were attempting to turn onto Walnut Grove. The Bonneville, which belonged to Parham, pulled onto Walnut Grove.
