Indiana State Police: Louisville woman killed in crash in I-64 construction zone Christina Elias, Evansville Courier & Press © TheaDesign, Getty Images/iStockphoto Illustration Image: Crime Scene WARRICK COUNTY, Ind.  A Louisville woman died Friday in a crash on Interstate 64 in a construction zone in Warrick County, Indiana. Indiana State Police responded at 5:46 p.m. Friday evening to the wreck on I-64 near the 47.5-mile marker, which is between the Lynnville and Holland exits.  ISP spokesman Sgt. Todd Ringle said the driver, Leah McMillen, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene.  ISP said a preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a 2006 Freightliner box truck was driving eastbound in the right lane on I-64 and approaching a construction zone where the left lane was closed. The construction zone had posted signs and orange barrels indicating the left lane was closed ahead.

Firefighters recover body from Ohio River near Evansville

Firefighters recovered a body found in the Ohio River near Evansville Monday. According to Indiana DNR, a tugboat operator called to report an apparent body found in the water near the Newburgh Dam around 1:20 p.m. The Newburgh Fire Department responded to the call and recovered the body. Conservation officers are investigating the discovery of the victim, who has not yet been identified. The department said investigators are working to identify the person using fingerprints and x-rays.
