Gerry Glover wants to bring more comraderie to Council. On Monday, the former Ward One Councillor was sworn in as Mayor of Kincardine and his first order of business was to issue a notice that he intends to bring two motions forward next Monday (May 3rd) to deal with Council matters. One is to request facilitated mediation for Council members, and the other to have staff bring back a report on either having an Advisory Council or Standing Committee on Diversity, Inclusion and Equity. Glover says it is something that he feels has been holding Council back.     Glover says it is up to Council to own that history and change the narrative so future Council members don’t walk into a decorum that he has experienced.
