MANUU Centre adopts village in Telangana under IAP ​ By IANS | Published on ​ Wed, Mar 10 2021 18:03 IST | ​ 0 Views MANUU Centre adopts village in Telangana under IAP Image Source: IANS News Hyderabad, March 10 : Al-Beruni Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (ACSSEIP) of Maulana Azad National Urdu University has adopted Aloor village in Rangareddy district of Telangana as part of its Inclusion Advocacy Programme (IAP). The Centre made a pilot study in December 2020 and conducted a two-day camp in the village on March 8 and 9. According to Afroz Alam, Director, ACSSEIP, as part of this initiative the Centre s team visited Government Primary school (Telugu medium) and a Government High School (Urdu medium) and sensitised the teachers and students about the need of inclusive education.

SHIMLA: Despite his failing vision and aching knees, India s first voter Shyam Saran Negi reached his polling booth in Himachal Pradesh s Kinnaur to exercise his franchise in the panchayat elections on Sunday. Negi, who is 103-year-old, cast his vote at the Kalpa polling booth, where he was given a warm welcome by laying a red carpet by the district administration. Kalpa went to polls in the first round of the three-phase panchayati elections in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa honoured Negi with a Kinnauri topi and shawl. The DC said young voters should get inspiration from Negi, who turned up to cast his vote despite bad health.
