11 Straight: Bradley Girls Continue 5-AAA Dominance
Bearettes Roll Past McMinn County 82-38 After Impressive Shooting Performance Monday, February 22, 2021 - by John Hunt
CLEVELAND, Tenn. – To say that the Bradley Bearettes own District 5-AAA basketball might be the biggest understatement ever made.
But based on numbers alone, that fact has never been more true.
Facing the McMinn County Lady Cherokees in their Jim Smiddy Arena on Monday night for the District 5-AAA championship, it was a mismatch from the start as expected as the Bearettes rolled to their 21
st straight win with a commanding 82-38 victory over the visitors from Athens.
The first major snow event of December began in Warren County Friday afternoon and evening with several inches of snow in the overnight hours, and will continue through this afternoon. The City of Indianola snow ordinance is in effect, and will remain until streets are plowed. Vehicles parked on the streets during a snow removal effort may be ticketed and/or towed to allow for safe and efficient plow operations. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory, which is in place until 6pm this evening.
