Public forum addresses construction of Moberly alternative school

The Moberly public had their opportunity Tuesday to view proposed floor plans of constructing a new alternative school within the public school district, as well as voice their opinion or pose questions during a community forum held at the high school s auditorium.
Employees of the Kansas City architectural firm Hollis + Miller gave a presentation and answered questions from about 50 persons consisting mostly of Moberly school personnel that attended the June 15 forum about the contents of its proposed 15,000 sq. foot structure.
Monies from a $17 million bond issue passed by 63% of the voters in the April Municipal Election would be used to construct this facility, which is one of three main projects the school district has on its ledger that s associated with the bond measure.
