Radio Camp 2021 - Virtual and In-Person WFDD Event Monday, June 21, 2021 - 8:00am to Friday, August 6, 2021 - 12:00am
Radio Camp is back!
Radio Camp is the perfect program for any middle schooler (or even a high school student) that just can’t stop asking questions. At Radio Camp you’ll learn how to conduct interviews using your phone and how to turn those interviews into a great-sounding feature story that might air on Saturday mornings on 88.5 WFDD!
In the process, you’ll learn how to use audio-editing software, how to write a script, how to make your interviewee sound like a chipmunk and even how to create your own fake sounds for movies and tv. Yeah, it’s not all work…we have tons of fun pushing the boundaries of what we can do with audio.
We are hiring a “Radio Camp Coordinator” to execute Local 107.3fm’s fourth
Radio Camp for Youth this summer. This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program, which exclusively hires youth between the ages of 15-30. Applicants must either be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents.
Our camp is offered at no cost to participants and is hosted in partnership with local arts & culture organizations in the City of Saint John. Radio Camp aims to foster a greater understanding of the vital role independent media and the arts play in our community and to provide youth with basic broadcasting skills.

From our Radio Camp for Grown-Ups program, Salem Neff brings us this endearing story about those things that we can t really learn in school.
