Another rough night for the Senators as they faced 24 shots in a 3-2 loss to the Montreal Canadien’s AHL affiliate. A power-play goal by Ryan Poehling at 17:05 of the third period broke a 2 all tie and sent the Sens to their 8th loss in 10 games.
Serns rookie Cole Reinhardt scored his first pro goal and veteran Joseph LaBate scored his first of the season. Jordan Weal and Joseph Teasdale scored for Laval.
Senators head coach Troy Mann was frustrated with the loss and felt his team should have faired better.
The Sen’s will now get ready for the Toronto Marlies for their first encounter of the season Friday night at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.
