The 71st WHOP Rotary Radio Auction was the most successful event in auction history and the chairman is thanking the community for making that possible.
The auction ended with a record total of $397,832 and Chairman Cody Noffsinger says they were able to set records in each section of the event because of the community’s support.

It’s the final night of the 71st WHOP Rotary Radio Auction and you have several ways to help cap off a successful week.
137 items sold Friday night for just over $13,000, the diner and sweet shop again had its best night of the week and Hour and Goat Club donations totaled just under $36,000. The auction has raised $154,671 through five nights.
Auction Chair Cody Noffsinger says he’s hoping for an influx of cash donations to the Hour and Goat Clubs on the final day.

Two nights are left in the 71st WHOP Rotary Radio Auction and plans have already been announced this week for new ways the club will make a difference in local young people’s lives.
Middle and high schools presented their fundraising totals last night, with the middle schools giving $2,014 and high schools contributing $6,175 to the auction. The school system’s central office had their own fundraising campaign and gave $1,350.
As a whole, Christian County’s public and private schools gave $29,400 to Rotary.
Auction Chair Cody Noffsinger says the newly formed Hopkinsville Rotary Foundation is committing $75,000 over five years to establish inter-act clubs in local middle schools.
