Eligible people will receive a payment if the average temperature in their area is recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees celsius or below over seven consecutive days. The Cold Weather Payment scheme runs from November 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021, which still means there is ample time for Britons to benefit from a payout.
